Like many, I received feedback stating my meetings were way too long, and resistant as I may have been to that notion, after some adjustment, I began tailoring my agendas, and, believe it or not, paid engagement skyrocketed.
Encourage your team to stay engaged by letting them provide ideas and feedback as well. Ensure you provide an environment that is considerate and respects the thoughts and feelings of others. Good leadership involves both giving and receiving lessons, which makes an individual both effective and secure.
Action Speaks Louder Than Words
If you are consistently tardy, are evasive towards difficult assignments, or do not attend important meetings, your employees will definitely pick up on your habits. As an example, I work to exemplify the same attitude that I ask my employees to embrace, and that includes a positive attitude under pressure and meeting deadlines. When my team observes my demeanor when handling tough situations, such as difficult clients, they learn to tackle similar challenges with calm professionalism.
Your attitude must demonstrate a positive work ethic. As a leader, show integrity, enthusiasm, and responsibility.
