Founder conversations, mentorship and events in Ahmedabad and Mumbai will anchor the company’s approach to helping Indian businesses navigate technology decisions.
A business owner can recognise the need to modernise and still be unsure where to begin. Choosing the right technology is one decision. Understanding how it will fit into daily operations, what the team needs to learn and which problem to tackle first can be harder.
That gap between ambition and implementation is the starting point for Soda In Mind’s entry into India. The company has announced an initiative for founders, startups and small and medium-sized enterprises that will bring practical guidance, peer conversations and mentorship into the digital transformation process.
The initial focus will be on manufacturing, retail and technology-ready SMEs. Rather than leading with a catalogue of tools, the company plans to build relationships through the experiences of business owners and the questions they face as they introduce technology into their organisations.
“India’s founders do not need more broad conversations about why digital transformation matters. They need practical guidance shaped around the realities of their businesses, access to experienced voices and a community where they can learn from one another,” said Murtuza Topiwalla, Founder, Soda In Mind. “Our India strategy has been designed to create that environment and build relationships that continue well beyond the launch period,” he added.
Putting Founder Experience At The Centre:
One of the initiative’s central elements is The Founder’s Lens, a planned series of conversations with Indian business owners about technology, growth and organisational change. Long-form interviews will appear on YouTube and LinkedIn, with shorter educational videos across Reels and Shorts.
The series will explore technology bottlenecks, digital adoption challenges and the opportunities that stronger business connections between Singapore and India can create. Its purpose is to give founders access to peer perspectives alongside technical guidance, allowing the realities of running a business to shape the conversation.
For Soda In Mind, this is also a way to build a local presence through useful content. The company’s approach places organic engagement and ongoing dialogue at the centre of its India launch, with the intention of creating relationships that extend beyond an announcement or a single event.
From Online Conversations to Local Connections:
The company plans to carry that exchange into a membership community for founders and SME decision-makers. Private WhatsApp and Telegram groups, supported by a dedicated portal, will offer monthly technology audits, live question-and-answer sessions and exclusive educational content.
The proposed community is intended to provide continuity: a place where members can return with questions, exchange experiences and stay connected as their businesses change. It will sit alongside the public content series, giving the initiative both an open learning platform and a more focused space for mentorship.
Face-to-face engagement will form another part of the launch. Two Tech & Growth Mixer events are planned for Ahmedabad and Mumbai, combining live mentorship, real-time technology audits and networking in premium co-working venues.
The choice of cities reflects the businesses the initiative aims to engage. Ahmedabad will provide a setting for conversations with manufacturing businesses and SMEs, while Mumbai will connect the company with founders, startups and business decision-makers across sectors.
Soda In Mind also plans to establish verified, optimised profiles on IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Udaan and Justdial. These listings will give businesses another route to discover the company and explore its expertise as the content and community activities develop.
The launch is planned over an initial 90-day window. That period will bring together the founder content series, the membership community, business-platform visibility and the two city events. These remain planned activities, with the company positioning the launch as the beginning of a longer-term presence in India.
The goal behind the initiative is to make technology conversations more useful to the people responsible for acting on them. By bringing founder experience into the discussion and creating opportunities for continued exchange, Soda In Mind aims to help Indian businesses approach digital transformation with greater clarity and confidence.
